Here we report the complete genome sequence of strain MP, the type strain of&nbsp;<em>T. barophilus<\/em>. The genome data reveal a close proximity with&nbsp;<em>Thermococcus<\/em>&nbsp;<em>sibiricus<\/em>, another&nbsp;<em>Thermococcus<\/em>&nbsp;isolated from the deep biosphere and a possible connection
