Matís signs a letter of intent with MBCRC from Australia

Last week, Matís signed a letter of intent with Marine Bioproducts Cooperative Research Centre (MBCRC), marking the beginning of an exciting and important collaboration. MBCRC is an Australian research and innovation centre that focuses on value creation related to marine biotechnology. MBCRC is an independent organisation that brings together over 70 partners from academia and industry and is based in Adelaide, South Australia.

This letter of intent embodies a clear vision for the future to harness the diverse opportunities in processing biomaterials from the ocean, with the aim of strengthening the blue economy, promoting sustainable development and creating value for the future.

The collaboration is based on five main objectives:

  • to promote the exchange of knowledge and scientific innovations,
  • to pursue joint research and development activities in the field of marine biotechnology and valuable products from the ocean,
  • to encourage innovation and support product development and marketing,
  • and to implement sustainable methods that ensure responsible utilisation of marine resources.
