The aim of this project is to study the properties of fibrous material made from Icelandic lupine using different methods from different harvest times.
The project "Lupine in a new light" is based on research and experiments on Alaska lupine and the development of environmentally friendly fiber materials for, for example, packaging and building materials. The material is free of external binders or additives and can also degrade rapidly in nature. The results of our research and experiments indicate that the plant has special properties that make its fibers bind well together and form a strong fibrous material.
