Specialist in Maintenance of Air Quality Monitoring Equipment

Matís is looking for an ambitious specialist to manage and operate air quality monitoring equipment. The position is varied, offers flexible working hours and a dynamic work environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Calibration of air quality monitoring equipment at air quality monitoring stations 
  • Installation and implementation of new equipment 
  • Basic maintenance of equipment
  • Collaboration with specialists within and outside Matís

Educational and qualification requirements

  • A degree in engineering, chemistry or a related field is required
  • Experience with the handling and maintenance of scientific instruments is an advantage
  • Experience in data handling and processing is an advantage
  • Good general proficiency in Icelandic and English, both spoken and written
  • Good general computer skills
  • The candidate must be prepared for physical work
  • A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and professional ambition
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Interoperability and flexibility

The position is full-time (100%). The candidate will be based at Matís, Vínlandsleið 12, Reykjavik, but will also work in the field.
