Matís is looking for an ambitious specialist to manage and operate air quality monitoring equipment. The position is varied, offers flexible working hours and a dynamic work environment.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Calibration of air quality monitoring equipment at air quality monitoring stations
- Installation and implementation of new equipment
- Basic maintenance of equipment
- Collaboration with specialists within and outside Matís
Educational and qualification requirements
- A degree in engineering, chemistry or a related field is required
- Experience with the handling and maintenance of scientific instruments is an advantage
- Experience in data handling and processing is an advantage
- Good general proficiency in Icelandic and English, both spoken and written
- Good general computer skills
- The candidate must be prepared for physical work
- A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Initiative and professional ambition
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Interoperability and flexibility
The position is full-time (100%). The candidate will be based at Matís, Vínlandsleið 12, Reykjavik, but will also work in the field.
