Matís performs species and stock analyzes on many commercial species found in Icelandic jurisdiction, such as cod, haddock, redfish and herring. Species of specific genetic markers are analyzed, results are compared with databases and in this way it is possible to confirm the type and in some cases the origin of fillets or other fish products.
