MATÍS and MAST are often confused. MATÍS is a research and development company and does not have a direct role in supervision. MATÍS, on the other hand, performs various measurements at the request of the supervisory bodies that own the results. The inspection is in the hands of the municipal health inspectorate under the supervision of the Food Administration (MAST).
Quality issues need to be tackled firmly and internal control needs to be built up in accordance with the scope and operation.
