The Environment and Air Quality Group at Matis offers services related to Environmental Monitoring and operational permit measurements for industry in Iceland.
The group's services are divided into three focus areas:
- Environmental monitoring and pollution measurements
The group offers consulting, project management, analysis and sampling services in connection with environmental monitoring and pollution measurements. The group's staff's expertise also includes Icelandic and European regulations, best available techniques (BAT) and standard analytical methods.
- Emission and air quality measurements
The group has specialized equipment for sampling exhaust, indoor or outdoor air. The most common measurement parameters are: dust, gas types, flow rate and volume, heavy metals, organic compounds.
- Air quality station services
We offer service, maintenance and calibration of measuring instruments at air quality stations, e.g. particulate matter meters,2 SO2 measuring instruments, NOx measuring instruments, etc. Our experts can also provide advice regarding the selection of measuring instruments and the installation of stations. In addition, we offer data processing, processing and compilation of data from stations.
Matís can also analyze most pollutants in samples taken at its accredited chemical analysis laboratory (Efnamælingar) or at ALS Scandinavia, for which Matís is the agent in Iceland.
