The goal of the SYLFEED project is to develop and design a value chain for the production of protein from forest products.

The product will be used as a high quality protein in fish feed to offset the growing import of soy products to Europe from South America.

The forest products are broken down by enzymatic and chemical methods into sugars, and sugars are used as food for protein-rich molds that will be used as feed ingredients for fish.
